Community Engagement and Public Administration

Community and public engagement along with good policy implementation at the municipal level (to include the public, private and nonprofit sectors) have direct ramifications for the larger state, federal and global levels. Research in areas such as economic development, homelessness and housing policy contributes to exploring and promoting urban resilience and prosperity. Concurrently, research by Green School faculty on budgeting and finance, organizational culture, civic leadership, small business development, citizen involvement in governance, and performance practices to inform decision making is paramount for successful and effective public administration.
